Kudos to Walfredo. I made an error in his favor on pricing. He brought it to my attention. Class move in my book. He did not have to do that.

No worries mate but I do appreciate the kudos. Your original price was fair plus I really wanted to make sure we were talking about the same item. Paypal is on its way.

Got the Mafac gold levers and hoods and they are beautiful. Big thanks to CV-6.

The bike I bought from Elev12k arrived very well packed and right on time. Don't let shipping from Europe deter you - if you buy a bike from him, it will arrive unscathed. Thanks!

I'm not sure if this really belongs here, but big time thanks to Chris in Miami. He checked out my new Raleigh International...he took photos, he picked it up, he broke it down, he packed it and he shipped via Amtrak to Philly. Big time class guy who did a terrific job getting me a really cool bike.

    Thanks Chris!

Pacifico's words say it best regarding Elev12k. 100% comfortability in purchasing from our friend over the pond. Elev12k delivers!

So far so BAD with member named "Rat Fink" - Joe Beazel. He'd gotten some good rep points here so I thought I'd be good.

Guess he had a change of heart. I've been waiting a month for my parts and he has the wheelset and Look pedals. He's refused to answer emails and PMs. I know he's been logged in so I know he sees them and purfosefully avoids me.

Rat Fink - Joe is a THIEF in my book.

    Story:
We agreed to a trade of my wheelset w/ 600 tricolor hubs, and Look Delta pedals for a variety of parts. He asked for $15 to cover the shipping on his end crying about how he's unemployed and I initially sent it via paypal. Then I reconsidered the deal and backed out. He refunded the money via paypal so all was well. I decided that not having to pay for shipping I'd go ahead with the deal. I sent the parts and he said he shipped them on the 11th. Up to that point he was very responsive and eager to get the parts.
    I see why now.
I've not received anything, he's refused to answer a string of emails and PMs. He's been on this site many times so I know he's seen the messages. He has not even tried to contact me with any information or explanation.

He's got a full wheelset and pedal set and I have nothing. He's a thief and a liar.

He has A LOT of stuff posted in the trade forums so BEWARE!

His email is: rodsnratfinks@gmail.com name is Joe so WATCH OUT for the SCAM

Luckily I have an address and I'm working some angles.

Edit: After airing this out I've got some correspondence. Resolution pending.

    Nomad--

As someone who has dealt with both you and Joseph, I would like to let you know that my experience was good and that he will likely resolve the situation. It took awhile for me to get my stuff as well, but I'm not in a rush and I understand people's issues with time. Hopefully you guys come to a resolution.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to slushlover 2 (Dick) and his wife Marge for driving up to Waterloo, Ia. It was the exchange day for the Bruce Gordon "Rock n' Road" I purchased a couple of weeks ago.

Can't say enough nice comments, but he really treated the bike right. Took every part off the bike and did a complete overhaul for me. ..... and drove half way across Iowa to deliver. Very thoughtful.

The bike is everything I hoped for and more!

Dick, if you read this, I stopped at Lanesboro on the way back. The trout were still biting.

I managed another 4 pound German Brown trout that was so fat and sassy, it looked like a football.

    Thanks again.

    I bought a Mavic 330 seatpost from CudaK888
I actually joined the list to buy it! I was directed to the ad by a member of the UK retrobike forum where I had posted a wanted ad for one.

I think now I'll stick around.

I'm so Stoked to get the seatpost - the final part in a now complete Mavic group.
Kurt was an absolute gent and went out of his way to get the shipping cost down.
Post arrived quickly and as described.
    All very good.

Collin2424 and I did a handlebar and stem trade. Great communication, no delays, and the bars and stem are exactly what I needed.

Edit: Got my box of parts from Rat Fink, some things omitted but a few extras substituted.
Unfortunate communication issues but it's all water under the bridge now.

    Thanks all.
