those who have a visp or w/e can you confirm this?
Can't confirm or deny, since I never weighed mine before building it, but sounds reasonable. These frames are very heavy, made with thick straight gauge 6061 tubing. My complete bike as shown below weighs about 10 kg, which is heavier than some steel bikes. So if you are looking to build something lightweight, then look elsewhere. OTOH, if you want something that is sturdy and durable for street use, then I think these are fine, however, at $140 + shipping, I don't think they are such a great deal as when I got mine for only $51.

Got mine a long while back, but still in the process of building it up. Haven't made up my mind about them cranks. I certainly can't put converted road doubles there. With a 103 mm spindle, they'd catch the chainstays.

Anyone had any issues achieving a good chainline?

The cheapest crank with a 144bcd is Andel and people have said good things about them. Other options would probably be Omniums, which don't have so solid rep or Miche primato pista, which apparently has troubles with the bb unscrewing itself.

I don't think you'll a problem running a road double with a 103mm BB spindle, if you put the chainring on the outside of the spider. That's basically what I have, and the chainline is perfect.

Decided to post my build here as this thread was really helpful. Took a while to put this together tho. Been riding it on the streets for a few weeks. Quite fun, but I hope I can take it to a velodrome some time sooner or later.

I'm sorry to revive this old thread but could anyone help me by telling what are the rims on this bike? I've been trying to find out for sometimes. Thanks.

They're Mavic CXP30 tubulars. Laced to low flange Miches. They're a bit heavy. Front with a Conti Sprinter weighs 1200 grams and rear with Sprinter, 18 tooth cog and a lockring amount to 1400 grams.

Sorry to drag this topic from the back of the lot but I'm looking to see if anyone has (if it's even possible) built this into a road-bike and not just a single speed. Looking for a cheap frame to start building my bike and I'm still unsure about the fixie scene so I am going to hopefully build a 27 or 30 speed road-bike and i'm hoping i can use this frame.

Visp do a fairly similar road frame. I was contemplating one to turn into a low cost TT bike using another bike's running gear. Seeing a discussion in Aust referring to the frame and the ebay feedback relating to poor QC has seen me looking elsewhere.
