bike for Africa - please help me!

Has anybody heard from Flic lately? Her website hasn't been updated for over a year.

She has recovered, finished physical therapy. She has resumed surfing and bikig and all that.

Re being prepared with gear. I tend to travel in africa with tools and some spares, but I think in many parts of africa it would be possible to ride without even a pump and depend upon other riders. Possible i said, maybe not desireable way to travel.

Sounds like she has made a complete recovery. Glad to hear it.

i became a member of bikeforums in the last few days, three years to late to warn that young person. I lived in Africa for two years. Travelling by car was dangerous, and better with about three cars together. Gettin away with her life was a good result.

What?!? you lived somewhere in Africa two years and you would of prevented her from having the time of her life. It was just plain bad luck she got hit.

-Africa is about 3 X size of continental united states. You mean everywhere is unsafe?
-A zillion people ride bikes in Africa.
-Life is dangerous.
-Wear a helmet.

I also heard it is dangerous to go to the cinema as there are needles in the seats. I ride my bike in a big african city and in past 15 years havent been hit by a vehicle while riding a bike. I hit a dog and fellow cyclists several times though

Come on man give africa a break.
