Best manage the symptoms. The only cure is going without a folder, or death.

I've got an R20 that I bought on ebay and quickly modded it to a Hotrod 20. The only original part is the frame. I used it at art shows to get back to the van quickly. Then a client called the other day and gave me an almost new R20 in green with the little Plecher rack on the back...sweet bike. I'll clean it up this winter and add it to my Raliegh museum. So to answer the question...Two folders right now...but looking for more.

weaning to 2 folders is no where near a cure!

I have 6 bikes, only 4 of them are folders, But they get used by 3 family members. Therefore I only have a share of 1.33333 recurring bikes, on average.

    Therefore I am nearly cured!

However all these bikes are mine ,mine ,mine all mine.....................

No I am not in denial !

One bike here. BF NWT. This is all I need.

It stays in the trunk of my car and is always available.

I'm afraid I may be immune to folderitis--I only have the one and I'm getting rid of it now that I won't be doing a multi-modal commute anymore. The Brompton is great for what it is, but I don't think I'd ever choose it over my big wheeled bike if I didn't have to take the train.

since i am down to 2 bikes for now, i am thinking of selling my boardwalk and get a nicer one for keeps. i am really thinking of getting a xootr but would like to know if this can be rolled. there was one downtube 9NS that was on sale for $150 but missed out on that one. actually my co-worker would really like to buy my boardwalk. this is my upgraded boardwalk D7 with shimano 105 double crank, hollowtech II BB, shimano alivio RD, MKS pedal, with cyclocomputer, shimano brake/shifter, jagwire cables, flat bar, selle italia saddle. i doubt it if i can sell this to him for over $300. what do you think is the fair price for this one ?

Two of my Jetstreams have sold.
Actually going to look at a pair of Dahon Mariner 26 bikes today. So I may be back up to 6.

EDIT: Bought the pair of Mariner 26s today. Six total now.

an update on my bikes - i am down to 3 folders. i just added a Dahon MU XL in addition to my Dahon Curve D3 and one unused A-Bike clone.

    my list:
    1) citizen tokyo in yellow (SOLD)
    2) A-Bike (bought new and it's hidden somewhere in my garage. to anyone who's planning on buying this bike. think twice as the ride is way different and twitchy)
    3) Dahon Boardwalk D6 (SOLD)
    4) Dahon Boardwalk D7 (SOLD) - i upgraded this one but decided to sell it as soon as i saw the MU XL.
    5) Dahon Curve D3 (for my wife/daughter)
    6) Dahon MU XL (my new daily commuter bike - loving it especially it's 8 Speed IGH). a real high end commuter bike.

    thanks,
    vic

yes. brompton is worth selling all your folders for. i regularly see this guy who rides in the bus with me that has a brompton and it's really so small when folded. in fact when you look at it real close it just the wheels you're seeing. imagine how small a 16" wheel is.... that;s how it is when folded. we're also eagerly awaiting for your new brompton........

Hello Gnome, I too am a folderaholic. How is kiwi life? Do bike wheels spin the oposite direction in the Southern hemishphere?

My wife and I are about to start planning our 2010 vacation to NZ. We will have about 2 weeks and from what we can tell, it looks like it would be best to spend most of that time on the South Island. Would you agree?
