This Bianchi road bike is in great running shape, but it is a little too small for me. Its a lightweight "mangy" (magnesium alloy) frame.

Like ecnewell mentioned, ask the seller to measure the seattube and see if we are correct on the frame size. It is possible we are wrong (though unlikely) and this will be a good fit for you...

Hey photogravity you soooo kind!! I live in Newark... Studying now... don say you suggest me not to commute by bike here or I'll get shot on it - -||

Lol yap the seller said 21 refers to seat tube, so it doesnt fit me perfectly as you said?

Okay, I think this is a good deal, though I'm not sure what it is exactly. Seller says it's a Cinelli (b/c of the BB shell I guess), though it's clearly something else. Could it be a 3Rensho? It has 3Rensho rear dropouts. Not sure the cables were meant to be routed as they are not. Interesting crank (Stronglight?). Someone check this out:

I agree and perhaps not even that much!

    From the CL posting
Vintage Bianchi. Size 54-56 ( I think) the Bianchi mechanic doesn't know how to measure it?
    * Campy Nuovo Record Only the derailleurs. GS cranks and Modolo brakes
    * great condition for age A bit of a stretch
    * Has been tuned and overhauled by Orange Cycle's mechanic who specializes in Bianchis When? 10000 miles ago? the drivetrain as well as the bike is filthy. There are no brake hood and the tape job looks lousy.
    *New tires
    $1,200 OBO-

It does have a TreTubi w/ Alle stay frame but still $1200 is way too much.

Vintage Columbus Steel Medici Frame - $275 (Wakefield/Cambridge)

    Date: 2012-04-28, 3:47PM EDT
Reply to: rbfjx-2984770662@sale.craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

Vintage (circa 1980) Medici Pro-Strada frame for sale. Made of Columbus SL tubing with Campagnolo dropouts/cable guides. Frame is in excellent condition with no dents or rust. The metallic blue paint (with factory yellow accents) is bright, the decals 100%, and the chrome very good. Note that on early Medicis, even a chrome front fork was an option, and this one has chrome on the forks and the rear triangle. This is a very well made frame (e.g., great detailing/cutouts in the stay braces, etc.), but the details don't really show up on the Craigslist pics. A google search will turn up info about the company, brochures/price lists, reviews, etc. Frame measures 54 cm (center-to-center) seat tube, 55 cm c-c top tube, and has Italian threading. $275. If interested, please include a phone number and good time to call in your email. Located in Wakefield, but can possibly be shown in the Cambridge area. Thanks

On Craigs, I'm almost always too late. The last two bikes were true bargains though. I'm cannibalizing an 88 Diamondback Apex for it's Deore DX parts on behalf of the Kona JTS. The campy crank and brifters from the JTS will be sold, as well as the frameset from the DB.

Is the burgundy particularly desireable? Seems a high premium for a color choice. There's other colors for $100-ish.

Nice. But those are never my size... especialy the ones within driving distance. I'd not mind a bit trading my Trek 1.1 for classic steel.

Way too big for me, but it looks like a really nice Panasonic PRO-7000 in 62 cm.

It's a color not typically offered by Brooks. The B17 Special normally comes only in black, brown, honey, and green. MSRP on the standard colors is $160, so a custom color at that price is pretty good, I think.
