I Love You Man. 6/10. Pleasant enough movie with some funny bits (and I have a major crush on Rashida Jones), but not much more to say.

Just picked up An American Werewolf in London cheap on ebay. First time I had watched it in years. It held up pretty well IMO. Its a hoot. Great special effects for the time, really funny script. 9/10

Sherlock Holmes - 5/10 to be fair I dozed off and missed parts towards the end. Was I too tired or was the movie not that great - probably both

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0758758/................ 8/10 a bit too long but beautifully filmed and acted.

I recently was on an 8 hour red eye flight.. I watched 2 movies.. Avatar and The Hangover. Being I like dark comedies , I liked Hangover. On a red eye, it kept me awake. That says good things, particularly after 2 glasses of wine and a beer.. Hangover was not as bazaar as another dark favorite.. Very Bad Things, a favorite , but it was good..

vicki christina barcelona-with javier bardem, patricia clarkson, scarlett johansson & penelope cruz.
both cruz & bardem are excellent. did have to constantly unremember his "look" from
no country for old men though. in the newer wave of woody allen films, it's my second favorite
of his-just behind match point. i give it 8.5.

    Prince of Persia - 6

    Robin Hood - 7

Hmm... haven't kept track of what else I've been seeing. One thing I've been doing is introducing neoclassic popular American cinema from the last thirty-odd years to my girlfriend. We've seen Young Frankenstein, Blues Brothers, Airplane!, Top Gun, Good Morning Vietnam, and several others. The latest was Star Trek 2; I'd give it a 9, and although I don't remember the last time I've seen it, I agree with most other Trek fans that it's the best Trek movie ever.

Duck Soup. 10/10. What can you say? It's the Marx Brothers at the height of their collective genius.

Tales of the Black Freighter. Not bad! Now, I'd like to see the Watchmen "Ultimate Cut" that incorporates this animated short.

Red Sands - It sucked. My son brought it home, he thought it would be a good fathers day watch for the two of us. We had to shut it down with about 20 min. to go. Just to painful to watch. Cool premise, just no meat to them bones.

Avatar, 8 out of 10. Storyline was so so, but the visual effects were good.
Finally got a blu ray player(thru my new laptop); the blu ray version is almost like
watching a 3D version with no glasses required. Although the DVD version looked
    good also.

Rewatched the "re-imagined" Battlestar Galactica miniseries recently before starting to watch the series itself. 6/10 -- it's still slow and not very compelling. I just finished season 1 of the series itself, and wow! Nearly as good as Babylon 5, although the best acting in BSG, as good as some of it is, isn't quite as good as Peter Jurasik or Andreas Katsulas on even a bad day.

Toy Story 3 - at the drive in with wife, 4 little girls all under 5 y.o. and son who fell asleep on the ground during the previews. 5/10...missed nearly half the movie wrangling girls, potty breaks, and a staticy sound track.

Toy Story 3 in 3D - at real movie theater w/out the little girls or the wife. 9.5/10, 2 thumbs up!
