My brother has a friend who is selling a mint 2007 version for $250.
I rode a 2007 Globe Comp IG8 for about a year, the frame and fork are outstanding, and that model is probably the best value in the line. That one should weigh about 27.5 lbs. The tires are a little too wide for my taste, but the overall feel is very stable and solid without being heavy. I think it beats the snot out of the competition from Trek et al.

The msrp on a new one is 550.00 so 250.00 for a mint 2007 is a pretty fine deal.
I have an 07 Globe City that I adore. It was new put in the basement of my LBS so I paid more so I'd say Yep..Good Deal indeed!
