"epicenter of spuds and cow pies" must be Idaho. It's the only place I've seen cows crossing from one pasture to another on a major east/west roadway.
Your tandem looks interesting and a fun project to be involved with. I'm curious to see how it will develope.
I'm not into recumbents, but always like to see innovation.
