Bikes: I've lost count.

breakfast: mug of coffee with milk and three pieces of toast.

I'll have to actually buy some scales so that I can start monitoring my weight. Actually at my rate of slowness, actually just riding up hills more will help more than any weight loss.

1600kJ isn't 1600 calories, because of a number of factors. You should probably take in about 1.1 times the amount of calories as kJ if you want to be exact.

But when losing weight, I'd rather underestimate the burned calories.

I have been pretty consistently around 195 lbs, so I'm probably a couple of quarts low right now. We'll see what it says tomorrow morning.

This past Spring when I was in OK shape I was briefly down to 186 lbs at the end of "base" season. That time is always my low weight for the year. This year's goal is 180 lbs at that time.
I have found that after a long ride it takes a couple days for my weight to stabilize.

Cooking dinner tonight: Rotisserie Chicken (Italian spices and sea salt for the rub) on the grill, carrot/leek soup, and potato/celery/grape tomato salad.

Time to warm up the soup and add the whipping and sour cream.

Odds are I will eat too much.

Super Protein Odwalla Bar. 210 calories.

That's it for me today, regardless of hunger. I'm up against my limit (set to lose 2 lbs/week).

The factor is like 4.2 IIRC. But since the body is around 25% efficient, using kJ to estimate calories is pretty close.

Bikes: N-1 where N = number needed

Slice of cinamon raisin bread and a diet coke.

Back around 193 after eating like crap over the weekend. Damn out of town guests and their cakes....

First race in 20 years in 6 days. Fat and slow for me.

Espresso, yogurt, a few small pieces of assorted melons.

Morning weight was back to normal, so I must have successfully rehydrated.
