    Sydney riding options

    Hey all,

I'm moving to Sydney next year, and wondering what type of riding is around? I prefer trail/DH stuff, and am thinking of getting a new DH bike if theres not much around then there's probably no point.. Are there groups/people you can get in touch with to hook up with for rides in terms of shuttles (if theres anything around)? I've found a few XC groups, which I plan on getting in touch with once I get over there, but I prefer DH and am looking to start doing some BMX/DJ over summer as well. I've heard the road scene is pretty large in Sydney, but although I've spent the last year on a roadie, there is no substitute for mountain biking in my world, so planning on selling the roadie off before I come across. I'm from NZ so haven't been able to find out much from people that I ride with at the moment.

    Any help would be appreciated!

Probably too late for you, but rotorburn is a busy website with much of the info you seek. Lots of kids though. Also, I don't think NSW is as developed on public (bike) access to land as NZ is\, but then I am not an expert on either.
