IIRC, I think I read somewhere that those were not required to pass any safety tests. I wouldn't buy it.

I have one and love it. No problems, no defects. Keep in mind that these ebay sellers are really just the companies that make them (and most of the carbon frames for name brands). On another cycling forum there are a lot of people with nothing but positive things to say about them, but you can't say anything about a mod being biased against them or you get banned.

It most likely is the same thing.

But it could also be quality-control rejects that Cannondale/Giant/Ideal thumbed-down for whatever reason... Didn't meet specifications. Not suitable for sale.

Or they could be 100% same thing you buy properly logo'd up over here from your LBS.

That's your gamble.
