Did you make it to the Furthur show in Nov. at SLU? I caught that one and then went to Cincy for another one. I hope there is one more Dead tour left with Warren. I have my doubts as Bob & Phil are close to 70 now.

Hate to say it but I had to miss that round of tunes and I knew it at the time. I have more than my share of used ticket stubs from over the years and have kinda put live shows on the list of things I don't do too often anymore. I get my live Dead fix from Nugcast and the Live Stash these days and have hours of Grate music to listen to here at home. It's good to hear that the traveling spirit is still alive and well though...the trip to Cincy would have been a good one.Originally Posted by Rider98Glide

Unincorporated North (STL) County, about an outfielder's throw to Florissant. I am about a 15 minute drive from Alton. (Or if you are brave enough to ride along 367/67 up there. The Alton Bridge does have bike lanes, but on the way up you'll be riding on the shoulder with 65MPH or higher cars....mind you the speed limit is 55) You can ride the Sam Vadalabene Trail on the Great River Road for about 20 miles to Pere Marquette State Park. Very leisurely as it is pretty much flat. Nice and scenic, as it starts at the Piasa Bird and you have bluffs on one side and the Mississippi on the other. There are also some nice places to eat in Grafton, which is on the trail. It is pretty easy to do in one day, but it makes for a good weekend camping trip too if you can pack a tent with you...Though to be honest, as a 21 year old, if I am camping while biking it will be exclusively for a real bike trip. If I am leisure camping I require a full size cooler and all proper beverages that accompany it.
On a side note, is there anyone here that happens to be from Missoura?
From Missouri, as in born and raised? I've spent almost 18 of my 22 years in Missouri, so I grew up in this giant state. But my pilgrim home is Charlotte, NC.

Yes, unfortunately. My apartment is not far from the stadium. With my windows open I could hear the M-I-Z...Z-O-U shenanigans. I'm not a loyal Tiger. Kinda wanna get my degree and never sit through class again. When it's nice out, I should be on a bike -- not in a classroom!

I started at Rolla/UMR/MS&T...we don't talk much about Mizzou there, though to be fair I don't think that most of the other UM schools know the Rolla campus exists.

In the SW corner, in the middle of nowhere. Went to MSSU and Crowder. Probably moving to some place very flat after struggling up the Ozark hills.
Count me in, Branson area. Just getting started. Looking to ride the Katy next summer. The Frisco is the goal before 2012 .

Live in Imperial, South of St Louis. Just got my bike, Trek DS 8.4, this week. Rode I twice thus far and totally enjoy it.
Looking to lose weight and then come spring looking to split my commute to Westport in half by driving and then biking about 12 miles in.
Be sure to check their website for trail updates. I rode the trail from Clinton to St Charles and back in early June, way before any of the flooding hit. It was mostly dry at that point but those passing storms left a ton of debris on the trail (fallen trees, etc.) and the gravel repairs were simply treacherous: I'd hit a new patch job and immediately slow to almost a stop, sinking into the chat. This was from around Herman to just east of Jef City - so a pretty long jog. Anyway, what with the current conditions along the river, I cannot imagine things have improved much so avoid riding a thin tired bike and bring lots of patches and tubes. (And don't do like I did and forget your frame pump: you won't be able to carry enough CO2 cartridges! I had to double back 44 miles and buy a pump in Sedalia after the first flat because actual bike shops are pretty sparse also.)
