Pros: they look cool and are incredible durable.
Cons: they're heavy, sluggish and sticky.
so they're durable, grippy good for rain, and cool? cool.
I never rode with mine in the raid so I can't really say how they are when wet.

You can with the right conditions which aren't that hard to get; I've seen NOS conti's with ancient decals that look just as new... nonetheless rubber formulas are on our side nowadays.
