Great to have our own "spot" in the forum. We can certainly get a lot of encouragement from each. I would love to know how many 50 + are really out there.
You mean on the forum or just "out there?"Originally Posted by Litespeed

We also have one person, not yet 30, who likes to pretend that he is 50!
Talk about weird! If I was 30, I would not want to be 50!

I am in the age group as well.

I may be in, but i come kicking and screaming.
You're east of East St. Louis
And the wind is making speeches.
I'm counting down to my 50th birthday in a few months, but I cetainly have more in common with these folks than with the twenty- and thirty-somethings I usually run into around the cycling world. As for "kicking & screaming", not me; I earned every line on my face and every grey hair, and (except for the ones that came from either sheer terror or cosmic stupidity) I had a lot of fun doing it!
I am in, I wish I was twenty again, I will just enjoy life and ride my bike
"Racso", the well oiled machine;)
I'll let DnvrFox sleep a little easier tonite. I didn't "Self Identify" the first go around but I'm here now!

I am in with 9 extra years to spare. I can farm or give them to anyone who is a little short in the age catagory.
This should be a good and well visited forum.
Consider me in.
Thanks DnvrFox! and thanks Joe for opening it.

I just got my first road bike for my 50th birthday. Unfortunately I still think I'm in my 20s (but my body knows better). As a Noobie, I look forward to the commentary in the 50+ forum to enhance the information I read elsewhere.
Sneaks by the bouncer with a fake ID which has the birthdate off by two years.
You old geezers won't mind if a 48 year old kid lurks in the lounge , eh/?
Count (at 64) me in too.

Well, I don't feel old, and I am not sure what a "geezer" is, (Dictionary.com says "especially an eccentric old man") and I definitely am not eccentric, but yes, please join us!Originally Posted by UziBeatle
