Multi-faceted but mostly sales & marketing.

After the Air Force, I worked as a lineman for the major power company in Denver while going to college on the GI Bill. After graduating with degree in Marketing, went to work listing and selling land south and east of Denver. Managed a series of successful companies before finally owning two Coldwell Banker Commercial offices. Always focused on large parcels of farm & ranch and commercial real estate. Also did several land development projects, alone or with partners. During deep recessions of 1979-'80 and 1989-'92 brokered corporate aircraft in addition to real estate broker duties.

Changed careers in 2003 into Marina Operations & Management, which is what I do today. Looking at moving to Panama soon.

Retired Salesman, and proud of it. Ten yrs in Credit & Collections before that - including a couple of yrs as an outside collector for the Sears store in El Monte, CA (in my early 20's).

Then sold fax machines (7 yrs) and phone systems (last 18 yrs). Retired in 7/2000 and have never looked back.

    Just keep moving!!!

Started working as a Radio and TV serviceman at age 18, right out of high school. (Remember vacuum tubes?)
Attended Technical School (2 year course - Industrial Electronics - evenings 15 hrs. week) while employed there.

Worked as a Marine Mechanic for short time.

Went to work for Ohio Bell Telephone at age 21. Held many technical jobs there; finishing last 13 years of career as a Special Services Systems Technician (data systems installation and maintenance). Retired with full pension at age 52 with almost 31 years service.

Worked at a living history museum as a Historic Interpreter for 4 years doing 3rd person and (1848) 1st person interpretation. This was the only job I actually liked.

    Been work free since 1999.

Continue to work as an RN in a large hospital (for 25 years) in the fourth year of a patient safety position. Currently spending most of my time abstracting data from medical records to validate how well we do on resuscitation attempts (code blues) and on the prevention of problems related to surgery such as surgical site infections.

Dual career right now. On the road every second week (full 7, sometimes 8 days.) Working as a wrench in a LBS on my in between week.
Doing a bit of custom bike building at home when I can fit it between those two jobs and the "honeydo" list.
Would very much love to leave trucking behind and do full time bicycle building and repair, but can't quite swing it financially yet.
