Anyone interested in joining up with Team RED for the Sarasota (Lakewood Ranch) TdC, please PM me.
Registered for Indy tonight! Time for a Stormcrowe reunion "tour", lol.
I went to the ADA awards banquet tonight in Indy, for the 2010 event. Unfortunately I forgot how much I raised, so I didn't know when to stand up. Oops. Anyway, it inspired me to register.
What is bicycle touring?
"So I kept looking and eventually found that a spark plug had same threads. So I cycled next two days until I got to Jackson, MS with a spark plug instead of right pedal." - mev

As a type 1 diabetic, I thank all of you.![]()
I'm definitely riding in the NYC one. Can someone give me a bit more information on it, preferably the NYC one. What I really want to know is the route/map and will we be riding in closed off roads?

I am riding here in our local Tour de Cure Rochester Mn and riding 51 miles. We don't have a longer ride otherwise I would ride it. I will be riding as a Red Rider as I was diagnosed with Type II in March of 2010. I was give an prescription of 3 Novolog shots per day along with 1 shot of Lantus. Three months after being diagnosed I was working on my bench in the garage and saw my old Trek 820 hanging from the rafters. It was there for over ten years. I pulled it down and cleaned it up and gave it a try. I had all I could do to ride it a half mile but I stuck with it and kept riding trying for more distance each time. In October when I had to quit riding due to snow and cold I had logged over 1250 miles with a single run of 71 miles. I averaged over 20 miles on each trip by years end. Trust me there was a lot of one mile and less trips starting out. My bike riding and continued winter exercise I have dropped 80 pounds and am no longer taking any insulin. That is right no insulin as I am controlling my Blood Sugar with diet and exercise. However I know with time I will end up back on insulin as I age. I am 54 now and it would be nice if a cure would be found before I am faced with going back on insulin. Any support would be appreciated. Thank you!
