Saweeet!!! BUT, 1 1/8" quill?!

EDIT: save $50 if you don't want the "extras".

https://www.bikesdirect.com/products/city_bikes.htm

The 3-speeds come in some pretty classy colors, but the font on the chainguards kills the aesthetic, IMO.

I sure hope so. Rare instance where a typo could be a good thing.

At any rate, a good way to pick up a nice mixte frame for CHEAP.

I think the three speed could be cooler with a coaster brake rear. I've always wanted to own a bike with that setup.

So who will be the first to get one?

I have a tweed blazer that would pair wonderfully with the Oxford Deluxe in Olive.

Of course a Pashley Guvnor costs 5.33 Oxfords or 4.57 Oxford Deluxes.

*ahem* You mean a "ladies" frame? (...or so says the BD website; I know they're mixte's and that we dudes ride them and that it's cool). The disappointing thing is that the Mixte/Ladies bikes max out at 49cm

That is a bummer. I'd love a 52cm mixte. It's nice to see that they're real mixtes and not one of the pseudo mixtes with single top tube.

There are a lot of offerings this new "retro" line from Bikes Direct will compete with: from Globe, Trek and Public Bikes.

Its a worthy successor to the classic Raleigh Sports city/utility bicycles that are still in widespread use even today.
