got overdrafted because a 14 dollar check that i thought had already cleared had just been sat on for three weeks, and the 14 dollars that was missing was beer slash tacos.

    FML

tomorrow i: tell big bank to cancel the fee or i'll close my acct and move to credit union.

I'm just gonna say that I have a friend who had two bikes of his. One was a complete piece of ****, and the other cracked after one run-in with a car. Misskaz knows more details about it than I do.

Today I worked, stayed late to deep clean, and ended up drinking amazing beer while planning the next new menu for the restaurant. Also, I made chorizo popcorn with pig skin, and an awesome dinner special that sold out in 90 minutes. #culinarygod

Edit: Some of you will be happy to know that I was listening to Lil' B when I made the dinner special. Thank you Based God for the inspiration.

One of our campus bars does "Mustache Night" every Thursday night where it's $1.50 for a mug with a mustache on it and $2/3 for every refill. But today was the last day EVER. Le boo.

So I went and drank beer and got a mug.

after one run in "with a car" definitely sounds like a tough standard to me, but I'm curious what made the other one a complete piece of ______ if either of you wouldn't mind sharing.

Maybe I'll look at geekhouse. that's a real bummer to hear

Considering that my Lager has had four cars nail it with nothing wrong other than a bent fork and a wheel needing trued, that's a fair standard I think. It's actually the blue one with the bottle opener dropout on his site. The POS one was just horrific in the way of geometry. She said (IIRC) that she wanted a track bike with 650b in size 43, and he made one with 700c instead and it was wonky as **** and had insane toe overlap, among other issues. Again, Misskaz knows more about it than I do. Perhaps ask her when she's back from Europe?

I picture you dragging the printer out by the cable and then crushing it again a wall and walking back in. The cord would obv break first, but still.

Not sure getting hit by a car is a fair standard. My friend got hit by a car on his IRO Mark V Pro. He walked away fine but his seat tube has a 6" crack along it.

I got straight T boned on an aluminum walmart scwhinn, me doin ~18, car doin ~25. Severe concussion, three fractured ribs. Replaced the fork, front wheel, and cockpit. Had the frame checked at a shop, nothing wrong with it.

If a walmart bike can pass the test, a two thousand dollar custom frame better pass too.

You guys realize that no two accidents are exactly the same, right? Just because one frame survived and one didn't doesn't necessarily mean the one that didn't was crap.

Realized forum upgrade has made posting impossible from Opera on DROID. DROID browser works tho.

Also thought I spotted another one of the Free Spirit I got. But it's a different model - Brittany instead of Sunbird.

And even in an exact same accident I imagine a high grade performance steel bike would be more prone to damage as the walls are thinner at some points (better tubbing) than a highten bike.
