    A little background before I simply say, "retired"......

    Mowed lawns, polished shoes, Bagger at an air force base commisary, cheese & salami sales at a mall, shoe/stereo/car/motorcycle salesman, life guard/swimming instructor/diving coach, messanger, customer service, delivery person, auto parts store..... State Worker: DMV, Corporations, Justice, Corrections, Computer Operator w/Teale Data Center, Group Supervisor/Youth Counselor/Prison Canteen Manager with CYA,
    and.......
    CDC(r) where I retired from as a Correctional Officer @ DVI, Tracy CA.

    Now I gotta figger out what I wanna be when I grow up..... or simply not "grow up".

    Do you have any idea how hard the co-opting of the word "architect" by the IT industry has made it for actual architects to look for jobs? Search on the word in any job posting database and get hundreds upon hundreds of hits, with only one or two actually for architects. I know. I've been doing it non-stop for almost 3 years now.

    No one is publishing hard information in my field, but the best educated guesses are putting our unemployment rate at somewhere around 40 %.

    Internet sales manager for a classic car dealership. Basically I do sales, maintain our website, take pictures of cars, upload onto the site, online advertising, ebay, etc. Most importantly I also get to drive some sweet muscle cars like this:

    Think that is bad, try being an engineer and having to weed out hotel handymen and sanitation worker.

    look like the majority here sit on there butts for as living, hence the reson for the clyde forum participation.

    Financial analyst here, so yes i sit on my but staring at spreadsheets all day, hence my reason for being in the clyde forum well that and my love for chicago deep dish pizza and italian beef sangwich. plus my Coca-Cola addiction.
