Show your Trek

Hello C & V,

I know many members here either own, or would like to own a vintage Trek. Even though I am Canadian, I have a soft spot for the early American-made steel.

Without further adieu,

Show your Trek!

Bikes: Bertoni Corsa Mondiale, Bridgestone T-700, Miyata 700 GT, Trek 600, Trek 560 Professional Series, Chrome Panasonic DX 2000, Peugeot PH12, Peugeot PX10, Schwinn World Voyageur, Schwinn Circuit, and Schwinn Voyageur

400, 1000, and 560

I rehabbed the 400 and 1000 and sold them. The new owners were excited to buy them. I'm presently rehabbing the 560 and intend to keep the bike for myself.

Bikes: See my signature

Daughter's '82 Trek 610 - Reynolds 531 frame, 19" - original components

My '81 Trek 510 - Ishiwata 022 tubing - running in stealth mode because some bonehead stripped the decals off except for the head badge. In desperate need of a wash and post-winter maintenance.

It's not steel, but it's somewhat old. I doubt if this has more than a couple of hundred miles on it since new. It's too small for me, as you can see by the seat post height. The braking surface on the rims is still not even scuffed off.

I love racing Trek. Here are mine:

87 Trek 560 EX

This bike is so fun. It is one of my favorite steel bike. Very responsive handling. Stiff but not dead. It climbs very well. Thought about selling it last year but don't think I could find a bike that is as much fun to ride at this price range.

90'ish Trek 2200, my rain bike.

Since built, I rode it twice and upgraded once already. Great bike, comfortable and climbs like a mountain goat. It is just amazing.

Trek I sold over the years:

I flipped this 82 600 a few weeks ago. The buyer got a really sweet ride for a very good price.

(The seat tube TREK decal looks "too blue" because I replaced the one that a PO had buggered up with a bike lock.)
