Mattituck Century Signups - Time is running out!

On Sunday 6/19, the Five Borough Bicycle Club (5BBC) brings back the
Mattituck Century ride. That's the one where you "have some
strawberries" with your century. 5BBC brought back this club classic for
self-sufficient distance riders who want a nice route, fun times and
an independent experience.

The flat, scenic 100-mile route starts in downtown Brooklyn, goes
through quiet bedroom communities and the Pine Barren forests, on to
the Mattituck Strawberry Festival. Once there, dig into all kinds of
strawberry treats, or go fruit-picking, wine-tasting or enjoy a fine
meal at a nearby restaurant. Later, the 5BBC will bring you and your

Cool! I grew up in Mattituck, and I haven't been back there in over twenty years. That would be a fun way to see it again. Except that California is an awfully long way to drive from to ride a century! Do enjoy, all!
