funny is being told one week your department is likely going to be shut down and you'll be out of a job, and then the following week being asked to apply for a job within the same college that's a serious promotion.

meanwhile, my side gig is starting to go live..

    Speaking of pot...

On my ride this weekend notice a not so nice sign from a farming warning would be pot growers of the consequences of growing the illegal substance on his land...

Reminds me of my wife's uncle, who happened to be a sheriff in Batavia at the time, and the discovery of an unknown stash growing on his property...Not the best land to choose to do that on

Found a new and interesting climb yesterday. Old paved truck trail. Rode up about a mile, average was 12% but it had some sticky stuff at the end.

    Duration: 0:58 (1:18)
    Distance: 281 ft
    Elevation Gain: 49 ft
    Elevation Loss: 0 ft
    Grade: 20.3 % (56 ft)

    Duration: 3:18 (3:38)
    Work: 51 kJ
    Distance: 0.251 mi
    Elevation Gain: 203 ft
    Grade: 16.3 % (213 ft)
This is my signature. There are many like it but this one is mine.

Well, I think I'm going to flip my townie for something different. I'm pretty interested in a Surly LHT, but am going to have to get rid of my existing bike first. Unfortunately, it looks like the list price for my KHS has dropped significantly (or more likely, I was grossly over charged in the first place), so I don't think I'm going to get much out of selling it. Every little bit counts though. I will be happy to not be schlepping 53 lbs of bike and gear to and from work, that much is for sure.

And just so I'm not kicked off to the 20: I've got 3 races this week, and my legs are going to be fried. Possibly doing the Bear Creek Crits tomorrow, Coldspring RR on Saturday (very hilly), and then the Houston Grand Crit on Sunday. It's a good time to be a racer.

I think some people around here need to lay off the Gainesville Green. Seriously, I don't know what they're smoking around here, but it must be some good stuff.

I took a new racer up a local 23% pitch a few weeks ago - realized I only had a 39x23 at my disposal... walking in cleats for the last 1/3rd wasn't easy or fun.

I nearly snapped my chain when I was accidentally in the 42 going up that.

    edit: http://app.strava.com/segments/783401

The cross streets are obviously 0%, so that reduces the average just a bit. The worst part is 26th->25th, which I stopped after so my time is pretty pathetic.

Anyone here an A/C guru? First, holy crap it's hot in my attic. My shirt looks like I went swimming. Second, it isn't draining the evaporator coil correctly. It drips into the drain pan. It seems like it's not coming out the normal drain line unless I open the little inspection port (the thing you snake with). Once I open it to look in, it starts pouring by. Is it some sort of breathing thing?

My home warranty company (came with the house) charged me $100 to send someone out here just to tell me they wouldn't cover it because it was installed improperly. Useless scam artists.

You have several lines of recourse, if you had a home inspection.
