If (when) I come back I will probably just start pedaling again. But if they do open the Forest to dirt bikes, let me know and I'll throw on a trials tire and be there directly.

So, I had a bit of a mishap while out on a ride and had to ride a section of trail with a completely flat tire/tube so my rim is now a bit wrecked. Not unfixable or so beyond repair just has quite a few dings and burs sticking up from the rocks. How does one go about making the rim smooth again so it doesn't tear through sidewalls in the future or cause other problems? sand paper? file? new rim?

Bikes: Bike list is not a resume. Nobody cares.

Flat file. Patience.

Although if it were tore up to the point where I had to remove more material than I could easily do with emery cloth I would probably take Dan's advice.

I would likely screw it up either way, might as well not waste any time.

I added some new bits to my bike last weekend, I was quite pleased with the performance of both of them.

Well, I did it. An hour of filing and one aluminum splitter later the wheel rides again.

Bikes: A fat tire & a skinny tire & two others I loaned out

I've given up on capturing mountain biking on video. I sit down too much & the videos always come out shaky.

Here's what I can provide. Better footage to come Father's Day weekend, when I get some more track time in/more sticky mounts for better angles. Until then, enjoy my crotch.

I have generally been saving up for a MTB for a while now. It is possible I could rejoin the ranks shortly. Hopefully it will be rootbeer.

Hello everyone! I didn't want to spam up the entire subforum with my quick question, so I thought I'd leave it here.
Is there anyone who can identify this Giant Rincon? Yes, I have a basically non-existent budget for a temporary ride. (BSO some people call?)

I just can't seem to find any references to to this particular model and so I'm not really sure how much I should pay for it.
Thank you everyone!

No one here knows anything about bikes. Try somewhere else.

Bikes: Santa Cruz Blur TR, Cannondale Quick CX dropbar conversion & others

Old rigid MTB is old rigid MTB. If it rolls and operates it's worth at least $100. That one looks clean so I can see some people paying up to $250 for it, but I personally wouldn't.
