I have a week of vacation at the end of August. I had originally planned to drive to Montreal, ride to Quebec, get the train back to Montreal, and drive home.
But now I wondering if a loop, starting near St. Albans Vermont, might be better. I'd get to say that I crossed the border on a bike -- always a good way to start a story.
So, if I were to start on the Vermont side of the border and work my way towards Montreal and back, is there anything you'd recommend that I see/do/visit/stay away from?
FWIW, I've done one self-supported tour before, but that was on a dedicated bike path with at most a 2% grade (Pittsburgh - Washington DC). I have problems with hills.
