I'm taking a trip to Montreal in less than 2 weeks. I plan on riding all through and around the city. Any recommendations on things to see, places to go? Maybe even a bike hangout spot or cafe/bar?

When we were there as bike tourists we climbed Mont Royal one day and biked to Īle Notre-Dame (and around Circuit Gilles Villeneuve) another.

Montreal has a couple of hundred miles of bike trails in the city and great cycling on rural roads north of the city.
We brought our bikes a few years ago for Jazz Fest and cycled during the day and heard the music at night.
Where's the best road riding in the city? (I don't mind going on bike paths for short stretches, but they're obviously not for the main part of a ride.)
The pleasure is momentary, the position ridiculous, and the expense damnable.
