Recumbent/upright tandem. I talked to the owner. Very odd bike.

^^^^^Cool looking bike. It looks like the typical Professor's bikes around here. (a lot of universities around my neighbourhood)

I turned the frame upside down, reversed the fork, crank, and rear wheel. Drove one pipe into fork top, and installed handlebars to the top. Drilled holes into seat stay top and bottom, and bolted other pipe to the side of the seat stay, then installed saddle to the top. Was hard to dismount, tried to do a wheeley only 3 times, my heels and tail bone hit the ground at the same time each time. I learned to just climb down between the pipes. Had to hold the pipes and run to get up onto the peddles, then peddle a bit, then push up onto the seat. I sure got some looks from everyone that saw me. Dad had to try it once, got hooked on one of those old vertical curbs and stopped. Fell to his hip, and was sore for a while. I rode one of those 20" Stingrays, so this was just for kicks. Wish I had kept both of those bikes.
Neat contraption. If I was riding that high off the ground, I would prefer to be wearing a helmet that is properly fitted, though!

Today I went to the Osaka Bicycle show and got to test ride 36 bikes.

Here are a few of the bikes there.
Out of all the bikes I tested, the two best bikes to ride in my opinion were the Trek Madone and Kona Splice. Special mention is for the Gios (Italian Paint). Nice ride also.

You are right. Those clothes were freekin expensive too and many interested people.
That particular bike was a little over-done and more fashion over function. The chain-stay protector is suede, as is the wrapped area under the shifters and bar "tape".

Went down to see the cherry blossoms in DC. Was nice, but crowded. Better were the flowers in some of the spots that only locals know about.

^^ Love the old pug. Looks early 80's and needs work but I'd have it.

Um...am I missing something, or are those just locked up to each other? Not that I'm condemning the owners...I know that grocery stores are some of the worst places when it comes to trying to find a place to lock up your bike.

    Biria city bike:

Crowded racks at the Santa Monica Public Library:

(second one shows the first bike corral in the city...10 bikes parked in two former car parking spots. Space savers!)

A nice new Trek 700 with one of the worst locking jobs I've ever seen:

I had to leave them a note, along with a printout of how to properly lock a bike. Tucked it in under their seat rails...hopefully they found it! I didn't want it to be conspicuous to draw any attention to how it was locked up. When I left work that night I saw that the bike was gone...without the front wheel left behind, so I'm guessing they got to ride home.

Thanks, I had these for a while and finally uploaded them. What most impressed me about the library photos is that it was around 2pm on a Wednesday afternoon! Clearly people getting around on their bikes for transportation purposes, and not just out for a weekend ride.

HeHe I'm going to assume the eguwana "cant spell that" couldn't run coz the weather is so cold. I met a guy on a MTB trail with a parrot on his shoulder once but not half as interesting as that.

Found my dream bike yesterday. If I raise the seat another 3cm, it'd be perfect.

Obviously a typo..must be one 0 too many. They aren`t that price new. Are they sold in OZ? They are here but not in bike shops..only in fashion accessory shops.
