Anyone who has done this ride before can maybe give me some heads up on the logistics(registration , start and things to avoid). I know large events like this can
be frustrating. Let's hope for decent weather and safe riding. Thanks , Frisky

The only time I rode the ACC was back in 2005. If it's anything like then, there is a huge turnout with riders in the thousands, though many of them do shorter distances.
IIRC, there was no big hassle with registration or otherwise. It was pretty much like any large organized ride, plus they had potato soup at the later rest stops.
Get there early and have fun. Enjoy!
Any more info on this century? I'd like to participate in at least one more this year before the rral cold comes...
The brochure for the 2012 ride just arrived this week: the date is Sunday, September 30, 2012. $30 to register this month (Dec. 2011), $35 thru the end of May 2012, then $40 thru the end of July, $45 thereafter. Registration is capped at 6000, but from my experience that does not make a crowded ride, with the minor exception of the first (very) few miles out of Three Oaks where the short 15/25 mile loops (aka 'Family Friendly') and the 37-100 mile loops diverge. I did the metric century and was nearly alone for several stretches after the last sag stop. And speaking of stops, their sag stops are great! and the hot potato soup was a Very Good Thing this past September when the weather was a cool and rainy in the morning. Website: Apple Cider Century
