Road Condition of County Road 25 (near Brazos Bend State Park)?

Hi!

I've been considering the idea of driving out to Brazos Bend State Park and cycling down County Road 25 just south of the park. Google street views of the road look interesting and a good scenic place to ride. Here is the route map:

I was curious if anyone has cycled down this road lately? Any reports of road construction, closures, or general condition I may have missed?

I've not been down CR 25, sorry, but I was on FM 1462 Sunday and the thing to look out for on roads in that area are wide cracks along the shoulder. CR 25 from FM 1462 down to West Columbia was one of the routes in Sunday's Red Cross Ramble.

Stay away from any cracks.
You can't see how deep or wide they might be untiil it is too late.

Wow, that is some serious crackage! I noticed similar problems with some of the roads out around Liverpool as well. I try to avoid the cracks all together, but I'm ready to hop over one if I absolutely have to!! Thanks for the tips! It at least sounds like other riders have gone down CR25 as recently as Sunday.

How funny, I live north of 1462 in Sterling Lakes, small world. I plan on riding on the county roads off of 288 near my home, CR56, etc. I've seen some cyclists cars parked near the entrance to my neighborhood on a fairly regular basis, but not sure who they are.
