I started this thread 3 weeks ago. Tonight is the first day since where we've had snow.
It started this afternoon and the roads were very wet. Luckily the temps were above freezing since I was on my road bike.
I guess it's back to the studded tires tomorrow.

It's December 6. I have been back riding my summer bike for the last 5 days.
How long can this last?
We've got about 4 inches of snow on the ground, and lots of drifts. The roads are already solid ice, they don't really plow here, just kinda pack it down. It's very cold though, right around 0F. I have a very short commute to work, about a half mile. I put new tires on in Oct. and I'm really happy with their snow and ice performance so far. They are Ritchey Z Max Evolution 2.1. Maybe I won't need studs.

Its been freezing out here in Oregon! No snow though...which is good. But I think I'd rather get back to the mid-40s and rain. Walking into work with a ski mask and boogers frozen to my 'stache is getting a little old...

We're set for a snow-free December here. I've taken my winter bike out a few days when we had some black ice, but December has been as good as it gets. Green Christmas.
