A Trailer To Make Utility Cycling Easier

I came across this site while looking for a bike trailer that doesn't have the draw bar off to one side like most seem to do. These ones all attach to the seat post.

Here is a good site with a wide selection of trailers. Most are utility (the largest of which, has an 800lb capacity), though there are those that will let you tow your kayaks, your groceries or even your dog. The trailers are made in Canada, on Vancouver Island.

Those are some pretty good looking trailers...and dog carts...and shelters.

40 years ago (been that long already?) i saw bike trailers in europe that had ball mounts attached to the seat posts with the tongue on the tow bar, just like you seen on cars here.

their trailers had sheet metal box bodies and smaller spoked tires. LOTSA older folk used them for shopping.

Ever since I saw one doing service as a sag vehicle on a century ride, I've wondered about adapting one of those multi-purpose trailer/runner's stroller things into a wagon for cargo purposes. I'm just waiting for one to become available cheaply enough on Craigslist to pick it up for experimentation.
