We are trekking to Phoenix for Thanksgiving and notice that we are staying close to the Thunderbird Recreation Area in N. Phx. I ride a mountain bike. Is that good for Mountain biking, any experience out there?

I have a buddy that I lives a couple of miles away he says that the trails are "decent" in his words. I don't think that you'll be able to link up any measurable mileage, but it might be alright to mix it up for an hour. I would think that with the amount of development, the trails might be pretty crowded Thanksgiving weekend.

Tequila is my preference.
I live across the street from there. Those trails are narrow with a lot of rocks. There will also be a ton of people hiking on those trails.
You'll have a better time at Deem Hills Park a few miles north:

Thanks for the info on Deem Hills. Looks like a good suggestion. Not far as a commute. I like riding solo with no crowds, so appreciate the heads up on the crowds at
Thunderbird. Happy Thanksgiving to you both.
