[Video] Cycling Lake Conroe & Sam Houston National Forest

This past weekend I rode 63 miles around Lake Conroe and Sam Houston National Forest. I posted for advice here on BF, but I was too impatient to wait, so I went for it anyway, lol! Here is the footage from my ride:

    Enjoy, thanks for watching!

Thanks for the comments guys, it turned out to be a great place to ride! I wasn't sure some of the roads I planned on taking were paved, but they turned out to be gems to ride in the end. Loving the trees right up against the narrow roads through the forest.

@James: I was working on a longer edit without the music for myself. I'll see about uploading it sometime when I finish it.

I am looking out for the full version.
Someone has a TT around Lake Conroe cant remember when

I have tried going around Lake Livingston , more than once, that is either a 100K or 102 miles. I have a tall tale of being taken back to my car by the sheriff.

Lake Livingston was one route I considered taking around Sam Houston Forest, however when I was growing up, I fished with my Dad on Lake Conroe a lot, so there was a bit more sentimental value to choosing that route.

Taken back to your car by the sheriff? What in the world for?

OK! Here is the ditty. I started out at Coldspring at 7:30 in the morning going counterclockwise around the lake. With no support little did i know about cycling. By 9:30 that night I had made 75 miles to FM 980 and Waterwood Parkway. There was a security guard there who was keeping a close eye on this guy riding with a mini mag light as a head light wearing a reflective vest. So I ask for some help. He couldn't help so he offered to call the Sheriff. And then I was ID'ed, grilled, then transported back to my car. I posted a better version somewhere on the forums but i cant find the link right now.

Good choice on the route and your reason just adds to the experience.
