Push and slide...

Ok I'll admit that this was not my smartest move, but man it was a blast. I went up Deer Creek Canyon today after work. I did have to push a lot of the uphill, but it was worth it. The trail was empty after the first couple minutes and the views were beautiful. For those that know this trail I only made it to roughly the "wall" before is started getting dark. The downhill was a blast, the mix of fresh snow and open trail brought a huge smile to my face. However I may snowshoe it next time LOL

First Climb

Almost flat

Quick Break

The trail

Almost turn around time

Made it back!

Is that the same trail that you posted pictures of last week?

The trail looked really similar to the one you posted here: https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php/783680-My-Turkey-day-ride!

And thought how nuts that would be to ride with all of those rocks, roots and little drops all hidden underneath the snow

Those two sentences, when combined, don't seem to make any sense

When I lived in the Springs I would do that trail year round. I have pictures somewhere.

LOL It seems weird but it would also make a good snowshoe trail right now

If I still lived where it snows, you can bet I'd be out there doing the same thing! The snow probably turns a 5% grade into a 15% grade.

It snows in the mountains. I live in the valley. I don't choose to drive up there and freeze my ass off, but if I still lived in the midwest where you have no choice if you want to ride I would have a snow bike and do what you did.
