    Kirkland Cyclist Killed

    http://www.komonews.com/news/local/B...135249398.html

Verry sad story. Prayers and thoughts for his family and friends. Has me rethinking putting off the purchase of a YJA.

:/ My heart goes out to any family/friends of the cyclist.. and on that note, why the hell do we allow people to drive 2 ton vehicles in the dark?

This story has me sick. This happened a few miles from my house and I've ridden through that intersection many times. This was completely avoidable. The driver was impaired.

This slide show of photos from the accident site is chilling and heartbreaking.

My deepest sympathy to the family and friends of the victim.

Very well lit intersection with the cyclist in full reflective gear and with lights and an impaired driver. Love to see how the bike haters will spin this one.

I went through that intersection this morning to pay my respects. There was a nice memorial set up on the corner with a sign and flower and candles burning. May he rest in peace.

Please provide any updates. Looking at the report, photos and video; this appears to be a head on collision.

Ah. I like to call mine the Jacket of God. My Canari is pretty much the perfect jacket for cycling.

When I clicked on the news video, an ad for Subaru came up touting how fun they are to drive. I wish fewer people used their cars irresponsibly while "having fun".

If you want to be even more disgusted with this scumbag driver, read this:

    Nerds in Seattle

My condolences to the family of the cyclist.

Followed link and received the following:

    "Page not found
Sorry, the page you were looking for in the blog Nerds in Seattle does not exist."

Looks like the content filter altered the link you posted due to a certain obscene word, containing the letters A,F,G,O & T. Just go to the Nerds in Seattle home page, and select the archive page for December, 2011, that starts with "Hey, f-" to reach the referenced entry.
    Everytime a bike is stolen,
A faerie dies from the sorrow.
