Another one I did just yesterday. Pennyroyal Tea (Nirvana Cover) MY voice was shot from doing several other songs and lost it by the end. Still sounds good.

Pewter, the hoarseness just brings you closer to cobainosity
Oh great, now my post makes no sense.
Just found this video from a gig I did a year ago! (I'm the bass player.)
nice chops on the bass - u sounded especially great under the keyboards imo.
Oh great, now my post makes no sense.
I'll post up here eventually. But not yet. I'm like a great Olympic athlete in training.

Hi guys and gals. I've just uploaded a new original song called, Love Calls Me, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fAePoMHnb8o
Yes its a love song.

Very pretty Anthony; i loved the chords. And being I'm listening from way over the pond from you, I thought it was cool that your accent was evident in your singing!
Oh great, now my post makes no sense.
I did this during my giant beard period....

In case you missed it the other places I posted this, first time I've ever really been on tape. I laid down rhythm/lead guitars/vocals, my pal Az did a bass track, the frontman from his band did backup vocals.
I suck at that sport too, but at least I don't get dropped.

Everyone writes songs differently but for me it always starts with a chord based riff. The riff always suggests a vocal melody to me and then you develop a verse, chorus structure. Then I listen to the mood of the music which suggests lyrics to me. Eventually.
I'm not always doing simple I,IV,V chord progressions. If I did I guess that I would run out of melody idea's in a hurry.
Ohh, nicely sung Pcaddy.

The other day I say to my wife 'you know if I keep playing like this for a year I might get better on the guitar'. She says to me 'but you're always playing the same song'. I reply 'Baby, it's rock n roll, it all is the same song'.
Here's a little something of mine, called Hispaniola. It's Spanish Classical in style.

Excellent Tom and thanks for pulling up the thread for me. I've just uploaded another cover, Right Down the Line by Gerry Rafferty, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGh0VvGfxOI

great job, as always, Anthony. I have to say, you have such a great sense of time. that's hard when playing solo, for me anyway.
