Just frame I assume? Which one fits you better? The one that lets you get in a better position will give you a better time. All things equal as far as geometry goes, my personal choice would be cervelo if you can swing it. Tested and true frame, I am sure there are plenty of people who like the trek too, can't go wrong.
No complete bikes, used but overhauled(I think thats the correct term) comparing parts and prices what would be best?
Just to be clear, is the P2 a carbon or aluminum model? Is the equinox 7, this one: http://www.trekbikes.com/us/en/bikes...chive/equinox7 ?
The reason I'm clarifying is that the Equinox 7 wasn't sold in 2011; the aluminum models were 2010 holdovers while the SC 2.5 was being readied.
The other thing is that the P2 used to be an aluminum model and now is a carbon model.

There is no such thing as a 2011Trek Equinox 7. Its called a Trek Speed Concept 7 and it is faster than the P2. The Trek is faster aerodynamically speaking than the Cervelo P4

The two bikes are probably similar in aero-ness. My advice is to get the one that fits you better. Cervelos tend to be a little longer and lower (aka a more aggressive fit) that not everyone can manage (e.g. if you're long legs and short torso). The P2 isn't bad compared to the P3 and P4 though.
