Forum Tip: How to Highlight text with another color.

A question was asked recently in The 2011 Mileage Thread on how to highlight text in a different color...

So, I've created this little post to show how.

When creating a new thread, posting to an old thread, or editing a post to include a different color text, you type your message, highlight the area you want to change, then click on the bold underlined "A" (in the image below, it's highlighted in blue).

A drop down menu of colors will appear.

Select the color desired, and the result should look something like this...

Save your message, and it's done.

    Thanks!

How did you make the "The 2011 Mileage Thread" in your post to a direct link?

A bit embarassing, but I don't know how to do that. Please, do tell.

If you hit the "Reply with Quote" button at the bottom of his post, within the quoted text you'll see the code needed to do that.

You copy the link from the thread you're interested in and then click the "Insert Link" icon and then paste the link into the dialog box. The link will show up in your reply.

Still looks stupid and, dare I say it, like an eBay listing.
