I'm sitting in front of the Burlington County Bicycle Center and it's about 12:40 pm. Sunday. Shop website indicates the're open 12 to 4 Sunday. Telephone recorded greeting says same. Sign on the door says 11 to 5 Sundays. Shop locked and dark! I know stuff happens, but...at least a scribbled note or voicemail update? Note to Bikeshops: First impressions count.... (Heading out to Wallyworld I guess...) 12:50 pm update: other customers have showed up....and left.
More follow up: the other customers who showed up mentioned they were going to Mr Bill's Bike Shop in Palmyra. To his credit, his web site says Sundays: "most". But no answer on phone. We got there and a sign on the door says 11 to 3 Sundays. Shop is dark, but, Bill himself comes out to tell me he is " not turning on his computer today". May I mention at this time that we have bright sunshine and 48 degrees today? You make hay while the sun shines people....There is one more shop in Bordentown to try though I don't think they do Sundays...
Looks like within the narrow parameters of correctly informing the pubic of operating hours, "Bicycle Pro" in Bordentown did best, correctly listing themselves closed. (They've never done Sundays) End of my rant!
Just wanted to add that I went back to Burlington County Bicycle Center today (Monday) Owner was apologetic for not updating public info on hours of operation. I found a VERY well stocked store, knowledgeable owner and good prices too. Bought what I needed and I'll be back there again for sure. Was worth the wait.
