Bring the pain.
What white crap ?
How much snow? I'm thinking of driving up from Michigan tomorrow for the Cronometro show.
I'm a few hours north of there, but it's hard to tell. It's been so windy, it's all drifty. Snow dunes all over. The average depth is maybe 4 inches? But there's quite a bit of variation up here.
Bring the pain.
It was fun while it lasted...back to reality.
Reality = waiting for a day when it's at least over 20 degrees, carry bike and bike shoes down snow-covered driveway wearing winter boots, change into shoes at the end of driveway, ride five miles just to get some fresh air, change back into boots, carry bike back into house and put back on trainer. Sit down by woodstove and check internet for good bib deals while waiting to feel toes again.
B L I Z Z A R D closed schools for two days straight around these parts.
Might ride today on a milk run.
yeah, i too thought massive global climate change ad steamrolled in and flattened winter into oblivion. Climate change does seem to have done a number on winter, but hasn't yet cancelled it.Originally Posted by recursive

Yes, it is snowing in Northern Ohio too. I was really enjoying the no snow and warmer than normal temps.

We fared a bit better southwest of CLE - maybe 2" on the ground, and the roads were mostly dry yesterday. Got a ride in before the playoff games started.
Last year, I caved in and bought those long thin things that fit on my feet. You can take them almost anywhere in the winter. Now I secretly wish for more white instead of less.
Although, 45 degrees in January was mighty nice. I actually get pretty efficient riding a bike with winter boots on during the brown 20 degree days. You know you're up north when you actually think about how to mount cleats on Sorels.
Almost bought cross country skis this year...glad i didnt, maybe next year.
