Hello: I am new here. I am a 66 year old retired male, but love to cycle. Have been riding many years for recreation/fitness. I have grown tired of cycling alone and would like to find a partner/partners for friendship and motivation. Does anyone know how one would go about finding a partner in the McKinney TX area. I am interested in male or female or both.
Thanks

There may be some members here that are close to you, but I would recommend inquiring at local bike shops. You could always drive down to Richardson Bike Mart, they have lots of group rides on weekends.

Look up Plano Bicycle Associaton, groups leave from Coit & Spring Creek in Plano both Saturday and Sunday as well as during the week during the summer months.

You might also try the Plano Bicycle Association, https://www.planobicycle.org. They are a large club based out of Plano but their rides often reach the McKinney area. They have group rides for all abilities.

+1 on PBA. A great bunch of folks. And rides for just about every level of fitness. (plus they have cool club jerseys!)

I haven't found a partner for daily rides, but do have groups I ride with on the weekends and Tuesday and/or Thursdays, and that helps a lot. Finding somebody that's going the same distance at the same speed and is free the same time of day can be a challenge.
Ask around at local bike shops, try the local clubs.
Lone Star Randonneurs usually has somebody doing a 200k just about every Saturday, but ride starts are not often near McKinney.
Some LSR friends of mine also ride with a bike club in Frisco, https://shawneetrailcyclingclub.com/ They speak highly of it, but I've never been up to one of their rides.

try this site https://buddyup.com. Pretty easy to find the kind of biker you're lookin' for. Skill, age, passion, etc. Best of luck to you.
