? about Tuesday night ride at Great Park

Starts at 6:00 I think. Meets at the parking lot near the runway. Cat 5 averages 25 mph. Cost is $10 a race for a one day license or $5 if you have the CBR license.

It is on Thursday nights. It's a race series that start in March. There are 3 race categories (4/5, 40+, Pro 1-3). The race times vary, dependent on the amount of day light available. i.e. the first races will start @ 5:30pm and it will eventually move to 6:30pm near the end of the race season.

I do believe there is a Tuesday group ride on Orchard Hill, don't know about riding on the runways/taxiways of the base other than the races.

Are you talking about Coffee Crew that usually goes up newport coast at 6 am? Or Orchard hills circuit which is 7 or 8 laps around Portola and Culver loop? Coffee crew should be going on year round. Orchard hills circuit won't start til a little before race season but you can still find me huffing up it on late Tuesday nights

I can only ride after work which is in the evenings. I am thinking about going up to Orchard Hills tomorrow to check things out. Is the loop on Orchard Hills Rd. or the loop that goes around the school?

That's funny...you must be the group I always see around there around that time.

Was anyone out there tonight? Saw a group of asians going the wrong way and some other guys taking it easy. I was the guy in orange on the red bike that sounded like I was going to keel over and die. For the past 2 months I rarely saw more than 1 person riding at 7ish and nobody doing laps.

Hit the last 2 Orchard Hill rides. Have an A race in 2 weeks, so won't be back for a bit. Last night I think there were like 2 tandems and maybe 15 singles in the group. Went hard from about 5:45 to 6:45. By the end there were groups of 3 and smaller. Great loop, except for the 3 traffic lights.

There is also Thurdays at Sky Park.

The Market Ride (San Clemente) starts again Tue/Thur @ 5:30 after the time change. Many riders alternate between the Market Ride and the Great Park series. Market Ride can be very fast.
