You were wearing a dayglo yellow/green windbreaker and you seemed to be zipping along pretty well.
The stop sign at Holder St. and Myra Ave. that you blew through while southbound on Holder isn't optional. Bicycle or car doesn't matter - we all have to stop. My hope is that you don't get hurt or killed, because that is a nasty intersection. On your side is that it's marginally less dangerous at rush hour.
If you need a reminder, the intersection is here.
There was a lot of stop & go southbound traffic and it's possible that you didn't even see the westbound cross traffic (me) as you passed cars approaching the intersection. I certainly couldn't see you because you were behind that line of stop & go cars and outside of my range of normal concern. If you were paying any attention as you blew across Myra, you'd have seen the back end of my old pickup about 10 feet to your right. All I saw in my mirror was a flash of yellow/green and a head down.
I've been driving a LONG time and I try to give bicyclists every break I can and as much room as is practical. Things like this make it really hard. Maybe I should just consider myself lucky that you didn't ruin my day as you proved Darwin was right.
Been a long time since I posted here, but...
Now, back to our regularly scheduled flame throwing.
