I rode this event a few years ago with a group of Bike Forums people, it was a lot of fun. It's not an easy ride, lots of hills, winds and the last few miles are on the interstate. That year there were about 1800 riders, but they get spread out, so it doesn't seem crowded. I love spending time in Santa Fe, so I really enjoyed just being there for a few days before the ride, another reason to make the trip. After the ride there are several hot springs for soaking the sore muscles, I stopped at Ojo Caliente http://ojospa.com/index.php?gclid=CP...FUUaQgod7Rx74A and it was full of century riders with the same idea, it was fun. If you do it train for some hills and be ready for winds, you know, the usual mountain stuff. I say do it!
