anyone located in the Sunnyvale/SJ area?

I am in need of a cycling buddy :]
preferably a female, and possibly someone who is up to my speed and more [not hard to do, I am not THAT fast], keep me motivated! someone to talk to during a ride would be marvelous.

While our average age is considerably higher than 27, we are still a fun group to ride with. I am 33, and while I am by far the youngest on most rides, it doesn't bother me because the people are great to ride with, no matter what the age.

good to know! also didn't want a "club" really, where I had to pay for membership, just good ole fashioned companionship.

Western Wheelers club membership is only $2/month and they let guests (non-members) ride for free. It's a great way to meet other people even if you don't plan on becoming a long term member.

There are a lot of younger people on the weekend rides, but obviously a higher percentage of retired people on the weekdays.

    You might check out http://velogirls.com

The good thing about clubs is that you get to meet a number of people who are already into cycling. From there you make friends with the ones that you like and do non club rides with them.

This is more racing related by Metromint, and TIBCO have women's racing teams. Might be able to find through them some female riding partners.

Western Wheelers has a wide range of riders, from lower paced flat rides (A riders) to long distance with intensely high elevation gains (E riders). I'm sure you can find a group you can hang with. They're a good group if you are not into racing, but if you are into long distance, like double centuries, let me know ... I'm always on the lookout for a long distance ride buddy.
I'm in it to finish it.

A trip to Thailand can fix that.

I live in Sunnyvale and would love to have a biking buddy! I'm 24 years old and...female, yea! Let me know if you still need someone to ride with.
