Very likely. I have some 10s Record Campy levers in my parts bucket. I may try it. A little epoxy would lock the shortened levers in place with minimal weight penalty. (my wife prefers dummy levers to the wing). Even then, lets face it, 50 grams savings isn't really much to speak of.

Seeing this tandem makes me wish I had gotten off my butt and shipped mine to the show.(Cyfac asked) Although, I'm frustrated that they finally did the internal cable routing that I had asked for 18 months ago.

I may try the new Campy EPS on my tandem later this year, once the supply chains level out enough to find some deals. I do wish it were available in a triple. Fortunately, my part of Texas is flat and any 12%+ grades are less than 1/4 mile.

I really enjoy these weight discussions. In my past life I've worked on helmet mounted display programs where we did statistical weight analysis on every part including those weighing just a few grams, all in the name of trying to design a 4 lb helmet. (And everything is either plastic , CF, kevlar, titanium or electronics). All in the name of warfighter capability and survival in case of a very high speed ejection.

It's difficult to make all the correct tradeoffs the first time around and as a first time tandem owner I wasn't even aware of some of the trades. We love the tandem and wouldn't change anything in that regard, but it's all the auxiliary stuff that does add up a bit; once it's on the bike it can be darn hard to take off.

As I've said in prior threads, I'm going to be opportunistic. When I needed side loader water bottle cages, I bought light weight CF. I bought CF handlebars which made a big difference in road buzz. Bought a slightly lighter, more efficient pump and got ride of my CO2.

Now, if we were to buy a new tandem I might go lighter, but would certainly be more aware of the crew support equipment weight trades. Meanwhile, there is a lot to learn by just hanging around.

Do you have a close up of the rear brake caliper?

Won't dispute that for a moment. More curious to see the actual mounting than the caliper itself.

36 steel bolts swapped for ti, still have 45 more to go.

This bike has a bunch of fasteners. Need to ebay some un-used stuff to get some more money for bolts.

No I did not weigh the before and after. Maybe I can lump all the take offs together and calculate an approximate net saving in weight.

Recounted and found a total of 93 fasteners. Some of those are larger fasteners like the ISIS crank arm bolts.

I took the removed fasteners, and weighed them, so far about 80 grams saved. Not much but some.
