    One less bike thief

    I salute this guy:

Man tackles suspected bicycle thief being chased by cops

If any of you downtown SJ BFers knows him, give him some love.

Excellent work all around. I love the fact that the cops are taking bike theft seriously and it is great that they took the time to find the owner of the stolen bike. Maybe someone should start a fund for a bike for Carlos Babcock.

Now, what road is that in the pic? Mt. Ham?

Rock the **** on, Mr. Babcock.

Wow that is tough. Ive always felt like if I saw a bike thief doing business I'd take the law into my hands, but until it happens you never know. #props

"Mr. Babcock should be commended for his actions," Dwyer said. "We ask that citizens be a good witness and not try to take physical action. At the same time, we're grateful he stepped in and helped us capture this individual."
I notice they commended the guy for his good deed. In australia the authorities vehemently discourage anyone from tackling a criminal. They encourage us to be wusses, but all that does is give the crims a free run. Personally I reckon if someone has the guts to tackle a criminal they deserve a medal.

Sierra rd in a dress shirt? That's almost more bad ass than tackling a criminal.

Amusing, given that Australia started out as a penal colony... for criminals.
