Congress it getting close to voting on a bill that would stop funding for Rails to Trails and other pedestrian related projects. You can fill out a simple form and send an email to your congressman here. You can also read more about it at the same link.

Done ... Thanks for posting this. They just recently (after a too long hiatus) restarted construction on our local rails to trails segment. In addition to it being nice to ride on, it really has been an economic boon for the community. I'm really hoping they don't stop now.

They just completed paving the second 4 mile stretch of trail in my county. The county I live in is one of the poorest in the state. The locals have really started to jump on board as far as using and enjoying the trail. There are more and more people using it all of the time.
