Help with sizing a Cannondale tandem

I am 6'1"
My stoker is 5'8"
We borrowed a medium Sovereign last year and are planning to get a Cannondale this year to bridge us a year until we have time to get a Calfee made for us. We will probably keep the Cannondale and throw some fenders on it for a bike to ride in adverse weather.
That being said, anyone have advise on the funky Cannondale tandem sizing?
None of the LBS's have much tandem experience to help out with the process.

.....not sure what you are looking for on the sizing specifically but if it helps our '10 C'dale is a M/S and fits me with plenty of adjustment to spare at 5'10+ with a 30" inseam. My wife is 5'3" with a 29" inseam and we had to 'shorten-up" her top bar with a longer stoker stem from Tandem's East. I would be very surprised if a L/M was other than quite good for your team. We have a Jumbo/Medium '05 and I'm 6'1" and my stoker is 5'7" (shorter legs/long torso). The Jumbo fits me perfect and the Medium just barely fits my stoker (with the Cannondale stock stoker "thud buster" seat post as low as it can go). Again, my stoker has short legs for her height and, if needed, we could've gone with a non thud-buster post to get the seat a little lower. Great bike!

Hi: For the person with the J/M at 6'tall for the captain. What inseam does the rider have and arm span? I'm 6' tall, 32" inseam and 6' finger tip to finger tip span. I was able to sit on an Xl which was good, but I'm curious if the Jumbo would work as I would rather have the M stoker. My primary stoker is my 6 year old with a child stoker kit but my wife may have some interest and at 5' 11" tall I am worried that the S stoker size will not work for her.

I'm 6'4 and my stoker is 6' and we just got the Jumbo/Medium Cannondale RT2. With the addition of a tall setback seatpost for her, it's a good fit for us both. If they made a Jumbo/Large instead, I think we would have gone for that.

With all the talk about Cannondales recently I am passing along an ebay add I ran across. Looks like a good used bike with 9 speed STI. I am not related to the seller or the bike in any way and have never ridden a Cannondale.

I'm 6'1" and my stoker is 5'8". Both of us have about the same wingspan as out heights.
We went to the Cannondale dealer and got sized. The best compromise was the J/M. It is slightly large for me and slightly small for her, but within 2cm of each of our single frame sizes.
With a couple of adjustments (stem/handlebar) it fits us perfectly.
Fair warning: this is more of a touring frame. It is quite heavy (38Lbs) out of the box. It does ride really well though.

Neutron, take a single bike that fits the captain well. Measure the top tube and the reach to the handlebars (i.e. the top tube plus stem) Then pick the Cdale size that gives you that same reach with a reasonble length stem.

Given your relatively proportionate heights, odds are if you get that right, the rest of the measurements are all going to be within a range that can be adjusted by seat height, and stem length.
