    Thank you for posting this. I had already heard about this in the Advocacy and Safety subforum. Even though the law has not yet taken effect, I made certain to use the four-foot safety margin when I passed a bicyclist on Friday evening. What it boils down to is: the motorist is going to have to resign himself to always going into the opposing lane when passing a bicyclist.

    Arizona has a 3' law but I am of the opinion that it isn't really enforced unless a bicyclist is hit. And then I question whether it is an easy out for law enforcement in lieu of more serious charges and a greater effort to prosecute.
    I just wonder how other states enforce a similar law and to what extent.
