Joining the Fold
Hey all. I don't think I ever even noticed this section of the forum on my way to the mtn biking/utility/etc sections (I'm sorry ),but I've been wanting a different biking experience here lately, and had been lurking in this section the last couple weeks, while scouring the net for bikes. I was also remembering all those times I'd been somewhere (new area) and wished I had a bike with me,so a folder just made sense (leave on in the trunk/hatch )
Anyways,I ordered a Citizen Miami with mini rear rack today-anxious to get it in next week
Anybody else ride this bike? Thoughts? Pics?

Welcome to the fold. A few here have Citizen bikes, maybe they will chime in.
Do post pics and give us a ride report when you get it.

Welcome to the wonderful world of folding bikes! I usually have one in my trunk; I had four in my little Ford Focus a few weeks ago and still had room for a passeger.
Folders are very convenient and offer a lot of flexibility.

I love my Gotham 2. It's the single speed version for simplicity.I have taken it everywhere in my travels and it has over 1,100 miles on it now after buying it last July.
I think you will be pleased with Citizen. They packed everything very nicely for me and the bike arrived in perfect shape.
Post pics when you receive it.

FedEx Dude dropped it off well before my 11 AM appointment this morning, teeheehee!!!
It was (very) well packed, and practically ready to ride out of the box (everything in adjustment pretty much, only needed to install the bars/stem and seat/post),and there was a hand written note in the box thanking me for the purchase (by the mechanic who assembled it methinks). Nice touches Haven't ridden it yet (doc appt ran long, still got a touch of the headcold....well,I rode it around the 1st floor of the house, does that count? ). Without further delay, pics!
Cannot WAIT to ride it!

I like the Fifties retro paint 'n tires, my last bike was a similar steel frame Oyama and it rode very well. Congrats.

Snafu21: I dug the color combo too,for me it was a no-brainer
ccsdc83: TY,I hope to find out soon. I'm about over this dang head-cold,and it's 60 degrees and breezy out today, thinking about taking the kids to a city park just to ride around a bit, grocery runs as early as next week (or returning some DVD's this week )

Nice looking bike. I agree, the color combination with the tires is very retro cool.
Here is wishing you many trouble free miles.

Thanks,Rex Had my first ride on it today, took the kids to a local park to ride around, get my daughter used to her first bigger-than-20"-wheels (26" comfort series Schwinn Suburban),my son's first ride off the block on his first bigger-than-16"-wheels (a 20" Scott mini-mtn bike),and my first folder ride ever. The first word that comes to mind about the Citizen....COMFORTABLE. It took me a couple minutes to get the cockpit dialed in just right, but when I did,it was pure bliss after having ridden drop bars on my CX all last year (as my main bike, and with my spinal injuries/issues). We got about 12-ish miles in around the park (basically lots of sidewalks for walkers/cyclists to share around the area and through a wooded area, then over a dam). LOL! I was so anxious to go,I didn't even change out of my "house clothes" (my version of pajamas...a t-shirt and sweat pants),just threw on a jacket I ended up not really needing and loaded up the van
Sorry for not-the-best-pics...new digicam, haven't learned all about how it's adjustments work yet,LOL!

Congrats on the bike, and getting so much out of it with the family. A bike does not have to expensive to be utterly rewarding as you show.

Very nice bike! The beauty of the foldables is that they just get folded in a box instead of being dismantled like the regular sized ones. Lovely color too. I love my foldables. All are old but the ride is so different than an average sized bike.
